Terms & Conditions
1) By submitting an entry to this competition, participants confirm that:
(a) The information provided by the participant is true and accurate. The participant represents, warrants, and acknowledges that the submitted entry is their original work, conceived and created solely by them, not infringing upon any copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy or publicity, or other intellectual property rights of any individual or entity. The participant further affirms that no other party holds any right, title, claim, or interest in the entry.
(b) The participant grants Dover Park Hospice (DPH), and those acting on its behalf, the right—where permitted by law—to use the participant’s entry, name, portrait, photograph, likeness, image, voice, statements about the contest, and biographical information in DPH’s official publications, websites, social media platforms, and other publicity materials. This right is granted without limitation, and without the need for further compensation, notice, review, or consent, for purposes including but not limited to news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotion. DPH also reserves the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), video footage, audio recordings, or any other media collected during the competition for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors and partners.
(c) Where the participant provides personal data of any party, the participant confirms that they have obtained the necessary consent from such individuals for DPH to collect, use, and/or disclose their personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
2) DPH reserves the right to amend any rules and regulations without prior notice and in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should any virus, bug, non-authorised human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond DPH’s control corrupt affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the contest.
(a) Any entry which in DPH’s view contains defamatory, violent, infringing, obscene, pornographic, sexual, indecent or unlawful material that and/or that violates local and international laws and regulations, shall be immediately disqualified.
(b) Any entry which is incomplete, illegible, incomprehensible or not received by DPH will be void. DPH reserves the right to disqualify any entry which does not comply with the criteria stipulated in these Terms and Conditions or is otherwise deemed ineligible at DPH’s sole discretion.
(c) Any entry which has been submitted using false, incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, including but not limited to personal details and contact information, will be void. DPH also reserves the right, at any time, to invalidate any entry which it suspects to have been submitted using false, incorrect, fraudulent or misleading information, including but not limited to personal details and contact information that have been submitted through the use of multiple identities, email addresses or accounts.
In such an event, DPH reserves the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received up to the point of interruption and/or as otherwise deemed appropriate. DPH further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the contest, or who violates these Terms and Conditions. DPH’s decision on the selection of the winner in consultation with the judging panel will be final. No appeals will be entertained.
3) By entering the contest, the participant agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless Dover Park Hospice (DPH), along with its advertising and promotional agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, and officers, from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, injuries, or causes of action—including but not limited to illness, personal injury, death, or property damage—that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, arising from or in connection with:
(a) the participant’s participation in the contest; and/or
(b) the acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, or any portion thereof.
4) By participating, the participant agrees to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms and Conditions and represents and warrants that all eligibility requirements have been met. In addition, the participant agrees to accept the decisions made by Dover Park Hospice in connection with the contest as final and binding.
