Dover Park Hospice Year-End Fundraiser 2025 

When Mr Johnny Chong was first discharged from Tan Tock Seng hospital in 2021, doctors told him he had only about a year to live. Metastatic prostate cancer had left him weak and in pain, and days at home felt painfully quiet. He was afraid of fading away alone, but through Dover Park Hospice, he found meaning and connection again.

At Dover Park Hospice Day Care, Mr Johnny cooked beef stew for friends and staff, sang his favourite songs, and even personally welcomed new patients so they felt less alone. When he needed closer care, the team transferred him to our inpatient care and journeyed with him every step of the way. Today, he continues to receive the same care and dignity in the comfort of his home. Now at 91, Mr Johnny continues to smile, tell stories and live a dignified and meaningful life as best as he can.
